Park City Educators are Excellent

In 1996, Jim Doilney and PCEF created the Excellent Educator Awards to honor the educators in the Park City School District. Jim was inspired by his mother who was a teacher. Since 2019 he has been joined by the Louis Family to continue this endeavor, as Hank Louis was a former educator. Every year, educators in each school determine Park City Education Foundation’s Excellent Educators. This year, seven Park City teachers have been honored by their peers and students as the "best of the best"!

From High School Vision to Startup Reality: Kristina Schiffman and the Power of PCCAPS & Real-World Learning

A Park City High School junior, Kristina Schiffman credits PCCAPS for helping to launch her professional journey. PCCAPS – short for Park City Center for Advanced Professional Studies – is a real-world learning program for PCHS juniors and seniors supported by PCEF donors that connects students with mentors and hands-on projects in fields like engineering, business, health sciences, and more. For Kristina, it provided the opportunity to further develop a wearable UV sensor – a device that detects and measures the intensity of ultraviolet radiation – to help prevent skin damage from sun exposure and several years later, it's evolved into her new business UV Sense.
