Park City School District Announces the "We All Belong Kindness Award". PCEF, along with the Park City Community Foundation and PCSD, are supporting the new awards. PCCF is providing the funding for the Awards through a gift to PCEF.
The Park City School District (PCSD) is dedicated to ensuring that every member of our community feels valued and connected. In alignment with our core values of inclusivity and respect, we are excited to launch the "We All Belong Kindness Awards" in partnership with the Park City Community Foundation and the Park City Education Foundation (PCEF).
The “We All Belong Kindness Award” demonstrates our shared commitment to fostering positivity in our schools and community. The initiative aims to celebrate our students' and educators' kindness and leadership in creating an environment free from bullying, harassment, and discrimination.
A monthly student award will be given at each school Feb - May. An end-of-year kindness champion selected from among those winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship. One teacher will also be selected from each school in May and each will receive a $1,000 stipend, with a $2,500 additional stipend awarded for the educator kindness champion!
"Leadership often comes unexpectedly, and this award celebrates that,” said Caleb Fine, Park City School District Interim Superintendent. “We look forward to the stories of kindness these efforts will inspire. Each small step has a big impact."
"My hope is that this award creates a ripple effect, where the values of kindness and inclusivity are not just taught but are lived and experienced across our community, shaping a more compassionate future for all," said Joel Zarrow, Park City Community Foundation as President and CEO.
“As an organization deeply committed to equity and inclusion, supporting this award was a natural fit,” said Ingrid Whitley, Park City Education Foundation President and CEO.“It’s crucial for us to foster an environment where every student not only feels included but valued."
