As part of December's Elementary Visual Arts (EVA) Lesson, students will participate in a graphic design opportunity tailored to them! Students will have the chance to explore their creativity, experiment with colors and layouts, and bring their own ideas to life by creating a brochure.
This EVA Lesson is inspired by Taiwanese-American contemporary artist Lee Mingwei. Lee Mingwei creates participatory installations, where visitors can explore ideas by participating in an activity or installation with the artist or each other. Students will learn about his work currently on display at Kimball Art Center, and create a brochure inspired by his art practice.
Lee Mingwei: The Gifts of Connection is on display at Kimball Art Center. Internationally renowned artist Lee Mingwei explores the power of everyday interactions, creating engaging, participatory installations where strangers can come together and share their stories November 17, 2023 – February 25, 2024.
The EVA arts program is provided by the Park City Education Foundation in partnership with the Kimball Art Center. EVA and Real World Learning are two of eight Signature Initiatives supported by PCEF thanks to generous donors, and utilizing art to better understand real world learning concepts, putting STEAM to work.
