Cynthia Mellin

Cynthia Mellin is proud to be part of the Park City community and is passionate about working with marginalized populations across Utah to ensure they are included in conversations that shape the future of our youth and their education. This commitment led her to the Park City Education Foundation, where she now serves as the Office and Operations Manager, giving her the opportunity to support her neighbors on a broader scale.
Driven by a lifelong goal to dismantle systemic barriers in every aspect of life, Cynthia uses her voice and leadership to advocate for equity, justice and inclusion. She is the former President of the Utah Criminology Student Association at Salt Lake Community College, a role that enabled her to speak at events and raise awareness around social justice issues. In her spare time, she hosts panels on topics such as Transformative Justice, Black and Brown Liberation, Crime, Justice & Equity, and ending the School-to-Prison Pipeline.
A first-generation college graduate, Cynthia earned her degree in Political Science with a a minor in Ethnic Studies from the University of Utah. She is conversational in Spanish and a passionate world traveler who enjoys immersing herself in different cultures. Outside of her work and advocacy, Cynthia enjoys spending quality time with her beloved XL Bully, Prada.
