Allison Zarkos
Allison, her husband Rob, and two children Niko (15, Park City High School) and London (11, US Performance Academy) moved to Park City in 2014. They chose the Park City School District for the French Dual Language program in addition to all of the wonderful educational opportunities the district has to offer.
Allison grew up in the East Bay of Oakland, California and Bellevue, Washington. She attended Western Washington University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Minor in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Audiology. She completed her Fellowship Year at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon. Allison went on to practice Cochlear Implant Audiology for 12 years at OHSU Cochlear Implant Program in Portland Oregon and at the Listen for Life Center at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle Washington. She participated in cutting edge research projects for hearing impaired individuals, presented research projects at many International Cochlear Implant Conferences and enjoyed speaking for many local Hearing Loss Community Support Groups. Allison was also active in Kaizen process improvement workshops within Virginia Mason Medical Center.
She served on the Board for Park City Cooperative Preschool for three years, and joined the Trailside PTO in 2017 as the Fundraising Chair. In 2018 she joined the Running with Ed Organizing Committee as a Fundraising Assistant.
Allison is passionate about supporting our local public schools and all of Park City Education Foundation’s endeavors. She has personally experienced the benefit of PCEF’s programs to enrich every child’s academic experience in the Park City School District. She is honored and excited to serve on the Board of Directors for PCEF.
When she is not shuttling her children to their various activities she can be found hiking the local trails with friends, skiing, biking, practicing yoga or pilates and traveling with her family.
