Bright Futures is a comprehensive, multi-year program that walks alongside first-generation students as they work to - and through! - post-secondary education.
Live PC Give PC, the day all of Park City comes together to support community nonprofits, is Bright Futures’ biggest fundraiser each year. Lindsay Carreto, a BF alumna & PCHS 2020 grad, truly embodies the spirit of the Live PC Give PC vision!
She was born and raised in Park City, and from the time she joined Bright Futures Park City in 10th grade, Lindsay (who graduated from Utah State University in 2023), has committed a significant amount of time to organizations that share her mission to make a positive impact on our community. Lindsay has worked and volunteered with PC TOTS, Health Occupations Students of America, Park City Hospital, and PCEF's Bright Futures, among others.
“Graduating from and working with PCEF’s Bright Futures allowed me to gain valuable experience in Park City’s nonprofit world - and made me realize how much I enjoy working with nonprofit organizations.”
Now - she adds another layer: she’s been appointed to volunteer on a brand-new advisory committee with Park City Municipal.
“I’m excited to be supportive in a different way now, with a role on Park City’s Nonprofit Services Advisory Committee. In this position, I’ll be on the team that provides the City Council with funding recommendations for emerging community needs and public service contracts,” Lindsay said.
“My family and I, like so many in Park City, benefited from the resources provided by the various nonprofits in our community,” she continued, “so I know how important the work is and how impactful it can be! I look forward to serving on this committee since it will allow me to reach even more people, in meaningful ways, in our community.”
Thank you for supporting Bright Futures in Live PC Give PC!
