Park City High School’s Joanna Andres has been named one of five finalists for the 2026 Utah Teacher of the Year by the Utah State Board of Education.
Last school year, Andres made history as the first teacher ever to receive both the Excellent Educator Award, voted on by staff, and the Sarah and Stephen Doilney Award, chosen by the graduating senior class. The awards are funded by PCEF thanks to the Doilney and Louis families.
She now advances to the final round of the state selection process. The winner will be announced on September 4, 2025, and will represent Utah in the National Teacher of the Year Program.
