Students across Park City School District are revving up their creativity and problem-solving skills through the RC League, a Radio Control Car program running throughout the school year. In this hands-on engineering experience, students work collaboratively to design, build, test, and refine their own RC cars—applying real-world engineering practices while developing teamwork, perseverance, and critical thinking skills.
The program will culminate later this year in an exciting district-wide RC race, bringing together elementary schools from across PCSD for a friendly, high-energy competition (date to be determined). Participating schools include: Jeremy Ranch, McPolin, Parley’s Park, and Trailside, with leadership and guidance from dedicated teacher leaders: Linda Hilton & Shanon Holt (JRES), Sam Thompson & Mike Holland (MPES), Gaby Carreras (PPES), and Krista Ingle & Ben Kahn (TSES).
This innovative program is made possible through the generous support of the Park City Education Foundation, whose funding helps provide students with meaningful, joyful learning experiences that blend STEM education with creativity and fun. The RC League is a powerful example of how engaging, hands-on learning can spark curiosity and excitement in our students.
