Elissa Aten

Elissa and her husband, Elliott, moved to Park City from the Boston area in 2008. Their children, Lindsey (7th grade) and Austin (4th grade, French Dual Immersion) keep them busy with ski races and soccer games. Elissa is in heading into her 5th year as Fundraising Chair for PCEF’s Running with Ed, which has been voted Park City’s Favorite Fundraiser several years in a row. She has also been actively involved in PCEF’s granting process. In 2014, Elissa co-founded PC READS (Park City Recognizes, Educates & Advocates for Dyslexic Students), a non-profit organization that advocates for early recognition of dyslexia and appropriate educational intervention and support.

Originally from upstate New York, Elissa graduated from Dartmouth College and then spent two years teaching middle school math in Baltimore, Maryland with Teach for America. After teaching, she received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, practiced law in Boston and later worked as an Associate Director of Career Services at Boston College Law School. Elissa enjoys being an active Dartmouth alumna and has served as Class Vice-President, Reunion Chair and Class Project Chair.

Elissa and her family love the Park City lifestyle, especially powder days on the slopes!
